Obama the neocon
Hello:
Well, you righty's ought to be pretty happy. You snuck one in on us.
Obama is going to have that ANTI-GAY preacher giving his invocation at the inauguration, at the absolute WRONG time. He AIN'T leaving Iraq with his RIGHT WING defense secretary Gates. He AIN'T going to prosecute the crimes of Bush, Cheney, Gonzo and Rummy, and he for SURE ain't going to reduce incarceration for non violent pot crimes with the likes of Holder as his AG.
I've been trying to keep an open mind... But, I can see the writing on the wall.

YUP, just like every other politician ever to run for office. Pander to the base in his area and promise the sun and moon and deliver on none of it. Because all they really want is ultimate power and money. Anybody that actually believed all of his dribble actually has drunk the koolaid!

Hello 450:

Originally I gave it until February for people to start seeing the truth about this nobody and now I am revising that estimate to January 1. LOL. All the votes were not even counted yet and some in the media were starting to see the truth about this hollow shell that we(the people) elected to the highest office in the country.

I seen it with FISA. I hoped he would decriminalize pot but I never thought he actually would. I never thought he would try to prosecute Bush and them. And I never gave a rats @$$ who is praying at the inauguration. But Warren!! That really rubs me the wrong way. But I am willing to wait and see what happens in the first 100 days. Not looking to good though.

Ok, Ex, both you and I have heard (I am sure) that Barky has "tendencies" towards being gay. So does this mean he's going straight? Or does he want everyone to think he's going straight? Nah, just a whitewash (no pun intended either). Warren's books are great reading if you like fairy tales. They are almost communistique in a way what he proposes so his choice of being the minister at the Inaugration seemed a shoe-in as he certainly can't use the good Rev. Wright any longer. A lot of churches actually bought his books and distributed them to their congregations and had Sunday school lessons using his book as a guide. Yup. When my church did this I decided it was time for me to stay home until THEY came to their senses.

How is not being in favor of Gay marriage seen as "anti-gay?" If that is what the bible teaches, Warren is consistent with this - Obama and most of the blacks that voted for him are against gay marriage, so are they all "anti-gay?"
Or is it the fact that the gays and liberals can't stand dissenting opinions?
Would you rather have Rev [ g... d... n America ] Wright give the invocation ?;)

How long do you think it will take for everyone to finally realize that the two party system is, and has been, a sham. They are all the same. Same agenda coming down from the real, one government.
I know. It's too hard to believe.

I began to observe with his first appointments that status quo does not represent "change ".
Campaign rhetoric frequently charges incumbents with incompetence . But when reality hits the new administration ,their rose colored glasses come off. Eisenhower charged Truman's administration with defeatist incompetence in Korea. But Ike continued Truman's Korea policies, reached a stalemate at the DMZ,just as Truman would've.
JFK dropped his missle gap campaign once he was in office and pursued existing cold war polices .Jimmy Carter claimed that Gerald Ford raised tensions with the Soviet Union due to an "inordinate fear of communism." But by the end of his term he had boycotted the Moscow Olympics and helped arm Afghan resistance fighters. Bill Clintoon was convinced that he could achieve foreign policy success through diplomacy Clintoon ended up taking military action in Afghanistan, Iraq, Serbia, Somalia and Sudan... all without consulting Congress or the United Nations.
Obama has plenty of radicals mixed into his team to placate the extremes. As an example ;John “Chicken Little” Holdren as Obama's top science adviser should make the enviro-extemists orgasmic. Steven Chu at Energy wants to ban the use of coal outright.
I agree Holder is unfit to be AG ;but for different reasons. Much of it has to do with his role in the Marc Rich and FALN terrorists pardons. Another issue is that Holder believes that all rights that U.S. citizens have should also be granted to foreign terrorists captured abroad. He doesn't believe in the 2nd amendment rights of private citizens to own guns.
Secretary of Labor nominee Hilda Solis will support the undemocratic card checks of union votes and is a proponent of la Recoquista .
White House Communications Director Ellen Moran is a former executive director of Emily's List, the leading abortion PAC .Dawn Johnsen, former legal director of NARAL Pro-Choice America, was appointed to Obama's Justice Department Review Team.Melody Barnes, White House Domestic Policy Advisor ,is a former board member of Emily's List . Arne Duncan at the Department of Education is the Chicago education chief who unveiled plans for Chicago's first “gay, lesbian and transgender” high school... “School for Social Justice Pride Campus” .Tom Daschle at HHS is also very pro-gay agenda.
So although the selection of Warren to do the invocation is being seen as some kind of symbolic throwing a bone to conservatives ;the gays can be assured that their agenda will be represented in the new administration in a big way.
Personally I think that Warren is trying to position himself as the new Billy Graham... minister to the Presidents .Like Graham ;it's not a matter of politics .He's willing to administer to Presidents of both parties. Obama remembers Warren as the man who made him look silly trying to answer the question "When does life begin?" Obama is probably doing political jiu-jitsu .Beyond the abortion /gay issues Warren is simpatico in other liberal issues like his dislike of free-market capitalism .
We already know that Obama in truth would prefer going to gym on Sunday mornings rather than attend church. Warren's Saddleback services via satellite hook up is the perfect solution . He can plug into them while on the tread-mill!
Warren knows how to butter his own bread. Don't expect a fire and brimstone condemnation of either abortion or against the gay life style at the inauguration.

I don't know what the man is thinking. The gay community backed him almost to the exclusion of the other parties and this is a lousy way to say thank-you.
As far as the war mongers and their cohorts being pardoned... I never had any doubt about that.Their corruption and power is so far reaching they are the untouchables.
My disappointment will be put on the shelf however and I will try to keep an open mind but my confidence has been shaken.
I will wait to comment on the pot thing,he may support more far reaching decriminalization laws across the board. If for no other reason than the financial burden, he has to rethink that one.

Geez guys... this is shrewd politics. Get the right wing preacher to give the Invocation at the Inaugural Address to get the evangelicals off his back for a bit, to show that he wants to be inclusive of all American's but isn't really offering a right wing Christian a place in the White House.
Smart move on Obama's part, after the Inaugural Address is over; he can then get on with the job of trying to pull us out of this mess.

I say it is way too early to make any qualified judgement as to what may or may not happen with the new administration. Never in history has a president elect been so "visible" in the months before taking office. I personally believ he will do the best he can,, at least HE can speak a full sentence without tripping over his words!!

All I have to say is Umma umma umma, annnna annnna annnnna. How quickly you forget HE couldn't speak one complete sentence unless he was reading from a teleprompter or script in front of him. Now he has a "whistle" in his S's. Geesh. Some improvement. Nah.
I'm really going to miss "Put food on your family. We'll send more troops to Iraqistan." and other laughable quotes. At least we knew he was a dummy and he acted like one. I don't know if that man was legally or illegally retarded. The jury is out on that one.

He also has gay-friendly Reverend Joseph Lowery making the benediction.
This move by Obama is similar to President Bush having the progressive rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, Rev. Dr. Louis Leon ,give the invocation to his 2005 inaugural. Leon's congregation describes him as a liberal thinker who preaches inclusiveness in his sermons, furthers social justice in his work and welcomes same-sex couples . But that of course did not provoke the ire of the right like Warren's selection has to the left.
A telling commentary about tolerance if you ask me.

Hello again, tom:
I know what he stands for. He believes that gay marriage is the same as pedophilia and poligamy... I'll bet Obama knows that. I'm sure you agree with him too, and that's why you call yourself tolerant...
