Do I have to pay my husband's child support?
My husband has been out of a job for sometime now. I have been paying his monthly child support but, lately it is too much for me to handle. What is my legal obligation to pay my husband's child support?

Legally you don't have an obligation to pay the child support that he is ordered to pay. He is. Just because you are his present wife, you don't have to obligate yourself to pay this for him. He will fall behind and get taken back to court and could lose his driver's license (some states have this punishment) or land in jail.

If he is not working, he can see about having the amount lowered to a proper sum according to his new income.

But as noted if he does not pay, he can end up in jail, lose his drivers license and more.
