    Frequent recycling on of furnace
My force hot air furnace keeps recycling on every 8 to 10 minutes. The temperature is set at 68 and the room reading is also 68. The room reading temperature does not decrease prior to the furnace coming on nor does it increase after the furnace completes its heating cycle. The red LED light on the thermostat goes on activating the furnace and within a minute, the blower goes on. I may be wrong, but I think the air coming out of the vents is not as hot as it use to be. Is the issue with the thermostat or the furnace? I had the unit cleaned this fall and was told that everything was OK even after I show the tech my record of how frequently the furnace was turning on an off. Before I call another company, I want to have an idea of what is wrong.
Thanks for any help with this.

Gas furnaces can cycle 6 to 8 times every hour. The cycle rate or the heat anticipator can be adjusted in most thermostats to allow a longer runtime with less off and on cycles per hour. The furnace cycles that many times to allow comfort control as your said it is 68 and it reads 68. Just about perfect. Now if you change the cycle rate you will probably over shoot and cause a wider swing like 68 and 70 but is the cycles really bother you that much have it changed by your contractor amd watch what he does so you can change it back if unhappy.

I am on a well and I have a leaky shower. I am saving the water in a container but want to recycle it somewhere else. Can I pour this water into the back of my toilets and use it that way or will that do any damage? If this is an option, should I keep my toilets turned on or off?
