    Dryer will not heat
My wife and I bought two used dryers to replace our old one. The first one stopped heating when we plugged it in. We decided to purchase another one. The second one also stopped heating after it was plugged in. Both dryers worked properly at the point of sale, but stopped heating when we got them home. I was wondering if the circuit breaker and/or the electrical connection might be bad. Can a 20 amp circuit breaker be too weak to activate the heating element while allowing the dryer to run?

I would appreciate any insight you may have.

    Thank you,

    Mark

Most Dryers require #10 wiring on a 30 Amp breaker. Were you hooked to a 20 amp 240 volt circuit?
