    Why do I need Diazepam?
Hi. Can someone tell me why I can't sleep without this tablet and why I need it so badly? I have been on it for about 1 or 2 months and if I try to sleep without them I lay tossing and turning unable to sleep. I can't do it. My doctor has told me to come off them but I can't. Can someone tell me what the hell is wrong with me? Have I gone insane? Thanks...

HI, Diazepam is used for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short-term relief of symptoms of anxiety. Diazepam may also be used to relieve agitation, shakiness, and hallucinations during alcohol withdrawal and relieve certain types of muscle spasms. It may also be used to treat seizures, insomnia, and other conditions as determined by your doctor. Also, this medication is habit forming and does need to be followed by your prescribing physician while you are taking and trying to stop. It is very important that you talk with your doctor. He may be able to prescribe another medication that acts in the same way with different chemical substance and one that is not habit forming.
