Trying to conceive.no lines then negative test
Hello everyone just seeing what I should do. My boyfriend and I have been trying to conceive for about 9 mo now. I had a miscariage so we waited 3 mo and started trying. I have a 33 day cycle. But the last few I've been really late. The most I had been late was 5 days up till a couple months ago. Last month I was 10 days late! Its really hard trying to calculate when I'm ovulating as well since I'm never really knowing when I'm starting really. I don't know why my cycle has changed so much in the last few months. So here I am today. 6 days late with one test that had no lines show up and I took another when I was 4 days late that said negative. Im having no cramps or anything like I'm going to start my period. My breast are very large and my sex drive has increased, like a lot. I went to the doc about a month ago. They said there isn't anything wrong with me and I should be able to have a healthy baby. So I'm just wondering when I should test again? Or was the negative test enough at 4 days late? Any advice would be great!

Since you have been later before, I'd give it another week and see if you are just extra late again this cycle. If still no period, try another test at that time.

A rough guide for calculating when you are most likely to be fertile when you have irregular cycles is to take 11 days from your longest cycle in the past months and 18 days from your shortest cycle. This gives you a rough range of when you are most likely fertile and will ovulate sometime in that window. Of course it is not a guarantee that you will follow that pattern, so having frequent sex throughout the cycle with maybe a few more tries during this range may help. Better still is to watch for physical changes that your body is preparing to ovulate such as increased cervical mucus that is more clear and fluid.

Ya I would take another test but not for a few days. And I also know a good way to figure out if you are ovulating. It is very easy. You get a normal oral themometer and take your temp every day just write it down somewhere and keep doing that until you notice a small increase in the temp. For some reason when you are ovualting your body temp goes up slightly. Just make sure you haven't eaten or drank anything in a half hour before you take your temp or that may lead you to false hope.

    Hope everything works out!
