Hi, lowlan, you cannot honestly ask us to identify a condition by the information you are providing. We can't diagnose. It is my undertstanding though, that the condition you mention is best diagnosed by an MRI.

I have no idea. This is more in the nature of a medical question, or at least pathology.

Are these liver cells? Are those multiple chromosomes in some cells in the picture on the right? Don't know what we are looking at...

Hi Asking, assuming from the description 'hepatocellular' it is a liver cell.

Not to be picky, but Pathologists are doctors... so it's a medical question.

The image quality is pretty bad. I'm assuming you're working on homework and not trying to diagnose a real patient. In anycase, check out A free, regularly updated textbook of surgical and clinical pathology in outline form, as well as pathology Jobs, Fellowships, Conferences and Books. for representative micro images of a lot of different conditions, you can do your own pattern matching there (and maybe learn something in the process :) )

    I think it was homework.

For the record, I have met technicians who worked in pathology labs who were not doctors.

And you are being picky. But I am capable of being even pickier. I did not say "pathologist." And that's "it's a medical..."with an apostrophe. :)

    Interesting link. Welcome!

    Thanks. Pardon my snark. :)

I didn't realize that this site would translate the URL into that string of text... but the website is PathologyOutlines, for future reference.

Fully pardoned. Are you a pathologist?
