We met last week. He came over to mine and stayed the night and the whole next day and left at 8pm the next night.

We talked the next day online. I sent him about 4 messages over the course of a full week. He answered all of them. In one of those messages I asked him to meet on Sunday after our big test.

He said I should mail him after the test.

During the break in the test, I mailed him and asked how its going. He responded very confidently and friendly.

But after the test ended. He sent me a long email saying he worked until 5 the day before slept until 6 couldn't fall asleep again and he was totally exhausted so he canceled.

I told him I was looking forward to seeing him but OK. And when I finally calmed down. I sent him a quick email saying that I had also felt drained after the test, so not to worry about anything and when he was ready to talk or meet, he should say so freely as I would be happy to talk / meet him.

And that was that.

I don't intend to mail him again though. I think he should make a move if he has any kind of interest or something. But I can't help but wondering if its already over before it started.

Do you think I am making the right decision to not contact him unless he contacts me? Do you think I appeared to needy?

You sent the last message... wait on him. I don't see that you were pushy. Your messages were short and to the point and the truth.

But if you message him again without him getting back to you first, it might seem a little pushy or needy.
