    2003 Car Stereo Installation
    I have read that some people bought the aftermarket radio installation kit for their 2003 Honda Accord. I decided to do this because my radio went out and it was the same price to get a custom radio as to fix the old one. I have been back to the radio shop 3 times this weekend will be my fourth. I wanted to confirm that there is supposed to be back lights on the temperature and fan control; When I drive at night I have no idea how high or low the fan is on or how hot or cold the temperature is since it does not light up. I am really getting frustrated with this and am about to just put the old one back in and have no radio. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    The Installer should have use a Wiring Adapter & nothing should have been connected to the Factory ILLUMINATION = red/black + wire. If there is... disconnect it.
    Otherwise the installer may have connected something to it, which could burn out the Light Switch Dimmer.
    Here is Factory wiring colors:

    12VConstant + = white/green
    GROUND = black -
    12 V Ignition = yellow/red +
    ILLUMINATION = red/black +
    POWER ANTENNA = yellow/green +
    LF SPEAKER = + grn/blk - lt. green
    RF SPEAKER = + grn/yl - gry/rd
    LR SPEAKER = + blu/wht - blu/blk
    RR SPEAKER = + pink - blu/yel
