California Law on 30 day notices
I currently live in an apartment and my rental contract states that a 60-day notice is required in order to vacate the unit, not the standard 30-day notice like all other apartment complexes. A real estate agent told me recently that California law doesn't allow a 60-day notice requirement, basically meaning that I legally only have to give a 30-day notice. I've tried finding this statement in the California law but can't find it. Can someone tell me if this statement is true and where it says so in the California law?

I found this in my research (civil codes) Home - California Department of Consumer Affairs. See the link for Consumer Publications - Landlord/Tenant. Hope this help! Bernie
