    Illness in pregnancy
Aftre having a healthy pregnancy 4 years ago, after having my daughter I've suffered two misscarriages one being at twelve weeks, and the second a silent miscarriage at 8 weeks. I'm now 5 weeks pregnant and am suffering with a terrible cold. Weirdly this happened to me with my last two miscarriages, having a cold then turning into a chest infection! I'm wondering if my body is attacking the fetus inside me? Why is this happening/

Thank you, if you both have a positive blood type then it most likely has nothing to do with your body attacking the fetus.

It is the cold and flu season where I live, I don't know about you, but since you are pregnant you are able to take anything Tylenol.

As j_9 said it is the cold and flu season.

I did have a cold at 6 weeks. It was a bad one too. I took liquid tylenol, non-drowsy.

Because you are pregnant, it easier to catch a cold if you weren't pregnant. The baby is using up everything. So your defenses aren't as strong. Congrats :)
