Greyhounds are meant to 'run thin' as they say. Compared to their size, an adult male should not weight any more then 70 lbs.

Don't worry about that lovely dog looking thin. They are supposed to be that way.

I do a lot of home cooked meals (not table scraps... dog specific) for my dog. I've heard that it's best to do this especially with Greyhounds in order to keep them at a good weight. Let me say that it really is healthy for any breed!

Here's a link I found. I am not endorsing it at all, but I do like the "BARF" diet for dogs. I think it's very healthy. This link isn't about the "barf diet" but it includes it, and is very high on the list for Greyhounds, and really doesn't cost a lot more than kibble, which is handy, but not always healthy.

It really doesn't take a lot of time to make some of the homemade foods, and most of them you can make all at once, and then freeze!
