Hi, I want to say hello to all of you using this amazing forum... coz I'm new:)

My question is,

I'm 24 years old Asian girl... I've been trying to remove hairs from my arms with epilator(threading) 2 years ago... and from that time I'm having really uneven skin + small pimples which leaves dark spots + there is hard skin under some dark spots ... I've tried Aloe Vera Gel to heal the skin and to get rid of the spots but it didn't work... right now I'm using Glycerin with Lemon... but it is not really helpful...

I've been to the skin specialist but she told me to use a very oily cream for dry skin... and it didn't help... :(

I've been searching and reading through different products... but I am not sure if its safe... any one of you can help me... will be thankful to u...
Bcoz I really feel uncomfortable and unconfident... can not wear half sleevs...

Any one please help

Threading can cause infection in the hair follicles, irritation, skin reddening or puffiness, and changes in skin pigment. You should try waxing, it takes out the hair from the roots and leaves your skin smooth for weeks. To get rid of the spots, use an exfoliating scrub every day. You can also use Alpha Hydroxy acid or bleaching creams to help fade the spots.

Thanks PrettyLady that seems to be a good advice... I'll try that... but do you think that the Hard skin under some spots will be removed by using AHA?
I've heard that GLUTATHIONE pills can repare skin... is that correct?

Glutathione pills will not repair or lighten dark spots on the skin. Glutathione is the master antioxidant of the body. The Glutathione Antioxidant System is our foremost protection mechanism as it participates directly in the destruction of free radicals and is critical to the detoxification.

Alpha hydroxy creams are exfoliants that help to shed the outer layer of the epidermis, and work their way to the deeper layers of the skin. It will gradually reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, lighten dark spots and smooth the texture of the skin.

Could the hardness and redness and pimplies be due to ingrown hairs?

Hmmmmm I see... well Iam going to start with AHA... then I'll be writing my results in here...

*yeah the pimples could be due to ingrown hairs as well... I hope exfoliating will help.

Hello,
You gave me advice to use Alfa Hydroxy (AHA)... right now I'm using scrub every day in the morning and before going to bed + AHA crème 4.5%... My skin is getting smoother than it was before... Hard skin under the spots is not hard as it was before... but its not so quick.

Well my question is... I've been looking through the AHA products available for body... and I found there are products with different concentration of AHA i.e. 5% 8% 10% 12% 20% 50% e.t.c... just tell me which one I should use?. And how often should I apply...

Use an 8% alpha hydroxy lotion. You shouldn't go higher than 10% because it can cause irritation. Apply it twice daily, or as directed on the label.

Hello every 1, It's been long time I didn't write... but now after 3 months approximately... I've been using Peter Thomas AHA body lotion which contains 8% Glycolic and 2% Lactic... And I can tell you that my skin is much better now... It really helped me... I'm still using it because the skin still needs improvement... The condition before was worse... but I'm happy that I can repair my skin otherwise I was hopeless... Thanx to Pretty Lady who solved my problem... A++++++++++++++++++ to this forum:)

I've a question, shold I continue using AHA lotion after getting desired result or should I stop it?

I'm so glad to hear that your skin is looking much better. If you want to continue using AHA's, it's okay to do so. Long-term use of AHA's in concentrations of 5-10 percent can also increase collagen and elastin synthesis, and also boost protein regeneration in the skin.

I just forgot to tell that I've been using FOOT DETOXING PATCHES as well... it also helped me + I'm born with dark circles so by using patches it made the circles lighter + I had always suferred from pimpled skin and it made my skin smoother and no more pimples as I had before... Just thought I should tell... could be useful information for people like me:)

I have read I mean gone through all the posts by Sunaina and PrettyLady, who does not want to hear that she is hot or sexy but simply want to hear, "You are BEAUTIFUL'" and got pretty much knowledge about this issue which is more than a common issue, even as due to not much knowledge of same, I could not make the most of much of the aforesaid discussion, but I found it pretty helpful to those facing this problem...
