Hi all ,

I got the G4 visa offer. I have following queries...
Please clear my thoughts.

1) Can G4 visa employer break the contract and leave me in middle?
2) suppose if he break G4 visa contract then I cam file H1 Visa?
3) what are the documents required to file visa?
4) is there any back ground check done before filling visa?
5) what is processing time for G4?

Yes

Depends on what ground you're terminated. If termination of your contract is based on violation of the laws, you must leave US immediately. If your contract is expired and there will be no renewal, you may file for change of status to any non-immigrant visa. To obtain H-1B may not be a good choice because USCIS accepts the application only once a year. You won't be able to maintain your legal status in US that long.


3) what are the documents required to file visa?
DS-156, passport, 2 photos and Letter from international organization requesting services.


4) is there any back ground check done before filling visa?
Yes.


5) what is processing time for G4?
Depends on where you live.. this is consular processing. Normally it takes about 4-6 weeks.

Please clerify that in back ground check ? They check criminal background or like previous salary stubs, employer. Credit history...

What kind of check they require , Please let me know?
