Regarding opening c,d,e drives.
I have made 3 drives in my system i.e c,d,e.but the thing is but when I click on any of them it says "choose the program you want to open this file".can you tell me why is this happening?? Is this because of virus or something else is happening... wat should I do further with that...

Actually I don't know as my engineer did it before two years but I have only 3 drives in my pc(120gb hardisk 512 mb ram).should I try to overite windows Xp sp2 or should I contact Microsoft for that.. so that they can provide me the appropriate file.

If this changed recently, then I would use the System Restore feature to go back to a time when it was working.
Having a C Drive is standard. Your D or E drive is probably a CD or DVD drive. So the question is what is the third drive.

c,d and e are the partition drives and F is the dvd drive... I will try to do system restore or else I will reply you back... thanks for helping me

Did this just start? What version of Windows? Where you able to do a restore and it just didn't change?

I am using windows xp sp2.the restoration started and I tried to do it on 4,12,18,20,24 nov.but to no avail...

First of all you need to be more specific about what the drives are. This would be my guess:
C: --> onboard hard drive
D: --> Recovery partition (standard on most windows based machines)
E: --> unknown
F: --> cd/dvd rom drive
So for starters we need to know what the description of the E: drive is and is the problem happening when you click on any drive or only a specific one.

Hi friends,
I am Anoop George Thomas. I am a new user. Today I ran Norton Antivirus scan on my system. After that when I double click the local disks(C,D,E,F),it is not opening directly. It is showing the Open With Dialog box. When I select the Internet Explorer from the program list, it opens...
Pen drives

My pen drive has a virus and to fix it I need to format it...
I tried everything... but it says its write protected and cannot format..
Can anyone suggest any solutions to it and from where to get the software..
