Is this legal in a will?
My grandfather left a nice chunk of change for me in a will. I was not to get it until I was 18. My father spent it and vows to pay it back in his will... is this legal? Can I fight for the money now even if my father is still alive?

A lot of it will depend on how the will was worded. It might be worth having the will examined by a professional. As for getting the money back - its possible, but its also possible that you lose your father in the process.

Agree with "Steve" - would have to look at the Will, examine the provisions. It is possible your father was entitled to use the money for your support or education. It is also possible there was supposed to be some sort of trust and your father violated the terms of the Will.

Can't tell without reading the Will.

If your father took your money, if that is correct, why do you think you can trust him to give it back to you by Will, upon his death - ?

Definitely have an attorney look over the will grandpa left wherein he gave you the money. Dad may or may not have spent it unadvisedly. If he did spend it wrongly, then sue him for the return of your bequethed money.
