    95 civic not idling right
1995 honda civic idle surges up and down when in park and neautral. It has a 1.6 v-tec with an automatic transmission. I took the iacv off and cleaned it with brake cleaner and put it back on and it still idles up and down. I also turned the car on and while it was idling I unhooked the electrical plug from the iacv and the motor didn't drop in rpm's or raise up? Does that mean the iacv is bad? Could I have a vacuum leak somewhere else, or would it idle bad all the time?

Idle speed should drop to around 450 rpm, when the IACV connector is disconnected. Sounds like the IACV is bad.
