    Will the employer know that I got charged?
    I was caught shoplifting yesterday and charged with 3 degree theft. If I plead guilty, will the court or the police department inform my employer. Thanks,

    It depends the employer. I work at NSK and they do bground checking every 3 months on 'random' employees. Probably will find out at some point.

    The employer will find out through a background check (if they run one on you at some point) or through the "grapevine" but the Court/Police will not inform your employer.
