OCD? Is it in my life?
Well, I am a very organized person. I like everything to be straighten away. (<----most of the time... sometimes I am too focused on school... )
My question is if I am a neat freak, or do I have OCD?

    (I think I have both)

I can't stand open doors, especially bathrooms or the room beside mine.
I must spray my Febreze... before going to bed, or I can't fall asleep.
The curtain in my living room... must be closed, or it will bother me.
Sometimes... if I see something.. that looks.. 'out of place', I have to fix it.
I always have to make sure the 'tags' on towel/etc... are not showing.

My entire family says I do, so do I?

I think you are only performing tasks to have order in your everyday life. I don't think it signifies excessive compulsive disorder. I am like you too, but I am not over driven by it. There are just certain things that have to be in place, as in before I go to bed, when I have a shower, etc.

I don't know enough about this, but it sounds like you do, but not to the extreme that I've seen in others. I would suggest going to see a therapist before your habits increase and affect your life more than you want them to.

Sounds to me like it is OCD.
If you lie in bed dwelling on the fact that you left the bathroom door open and it disturbs you, if something interferes with your life because you constantly dwell on it over and over in your mind to the point you can't do whatever it is you are doing then I believe it is OCD.
They say the best way to overcome OCD is pick one specific problem at a time and work on it and don't move on to the next until you have over come the other. Like leave the doors open when possible and retrain your brain to focus anything but doors.

It sounds like you probably do have OCD. Hey me too! Haha.

I just posted something about this as well that KBC so kindly helped me with.

A lot of people like organization and to make sure things are right, or have little quirks. But if these things interfere with your everyday life it becomes something more. If it drives you crazy to not "fix" something or to leave a door open, if you cannot stop thinking about it or feel absolutely compelled to do it, then that's a major red flag for OCD.
I know that I don't have so many physical compulsions, but I definitely have obsessive thoughts, and they are both part of the same condition.
It would probably be beneficial to at least go see someone about it. I am seeing a counselor now and it has been very helpful
