    Co. Name on summons misspelled?
I have been served a summons for non payment of rent. The residential lease is in the name of my LLC and list myself as an occupant. The name of the company is spelled Optopn and not Options on the summons. The summons lists the misspelled LLC, me and all occupants in the defendants box. Every few months I go through this process with the Apartment complex, I find some mistake they have made on the summons, buy myself some time and pay what I owe in full. All I need to do is buy myself time, until Dec. 1st. Once again I will be able to pay. Should I be able to use this to get proper service just to move the court date.

Probably not. Simple misspellings may not be enough

    Hello o:

Nope, it ain't going to help you. You can just sit back and say "they're suing somebody else in court. I don't have to worry." And, you'd be right too...

And, when the sheriff shows up at your house, he's going to put you out no matter what your name is. So, you're going to be in the street no matter WHO got sued.
