Being forced to take vacation time.
    Hi!
I am a salaried employee in North Carolina, and as such, understand that I am expected to work additional hours as needed without additional compensation. My concern is that I am being required to take vacation time when I miss an hour of work due to a doctor's appointment.
I thought that being salaried meant that I would make my salary regardless of how many hours I work, as long as I am getting everything done.

Did that make sense? I am having some serious problems with this policy, but want to know if this is normal practice.

    Thanks!

In some places yes that is how it works, in other companies it is not normal.
