    Gas Log Lighting Delays
    Hi
I have a ventless natural gas fireplace log that at times does not ignite immediately when I turn it on. How do I resolve this problem?

Intermittent problems are the worst to find. Could be as simple as a low pilot lite if so equipped or something in what I call the pilot chain. That is the area from the pilot to all the small burner orfices drilled into the pipe. It could just need a good clean up in those areas.

I would also check the gas pressure setting and make sure he gas operating valve opens right away upon call for ignition.
NOTE there are many different styles of controls used on these style of units so to be more accurate you might list the brand and exact model of your unit along with the parts legend especially the ignition components.
