Lexapro - Delayed Ejaculation, If Ever
I've been on Lexapro for about a week and read that one of the side effects is delayed ejaculation. Well our first attempt lasted and hour or so and was onable to reach a climax. Panphlet says that most side effecrs are mild and transient. Will the delayed ejaculation diminish or go away. Anyone with this exeprience, please reply and let me know if my problem is temporary.

Mr. Curious,
Your problem should only be temporary. It take approximately 6 weeks for your system to become accustomed to the meds. If this happens after the 6 week period you should mention it to your doctor.
What time of day do you take your meds? If you make an adjustment to time of day, this may make your problem less of a prob.
My hubby has to take his first thing in the morning. Others have to take theirs right before falling asleep, literally.
Hope this helps.

It may be wise to take it either first thing when you get up, or just as you are falling asleep. Personally, I like the idea of taking it as you are falling asleep because if there are any other side effects you are sleeping through them. Also, if you take it at night, this problem may be lessened by the next evening.

Mr Curious
Well, I have good news and so-so news. The good news is that once I got to a certain point (several weeks), ejaculation returned. The so-so news is that it never did return to 'normal' - and I'm now at 11 months with Lexapro. Sometimes it's more difficult than others, but now is always somewhat muted - like it's a bit longer in starting, and often has trouble being complete.
So it's not bad news - just something to deal with. Beats the extreme alternatives of depression or no-sex.
Best of luck -
