Hi, hoping someone out there can guide me in the correct way to fit two extra small radiators to the existing system. Old back boiler system, and have noticed that the two rads in our living room have the valves fitted at the top instead of the bottom, very unsightly having a long length of pipe up the side of the rad but do not know if they are that way for a reason or if its possible to just swop to the bottom.

Second question is that we want to add two small rads to the system. Now from my limited knowledge. I think that the system has two pipes ( flow and return) If this is correct am I correct in saying that I can connect all the flow pipes I add to the last rad in the line and just put Tpeices on with a length of pipe popping up through the floor at radiator fitting point for the valve. And do exactly the same on the return pipe to the other side of the radiators.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Your idea might work for adding radiators might work but if you tap the end radiators the temperature of the water will be lower than if you tap the primary pipes of the system.

There is probably a reason for your radiators to have a high pipe up the side. Depending upon the design of the system and the design of the radiators themselves it might be necessary to do this. Radiators can be piped in many different ways and the Dead Men as they are called took many of there secrets with them when they died.
