We are having trouble with a smell that we can't find a source of. I really don't know where to go now. I had an addition put on the house and had the kitchen redone. About 2months after the kitchen cabinets were in, there was a smell under one of the cabinets. It is now under 2 of the cabinets....

I have an old Rheem water heater that is producing hot water that smells like rotten eggs. I've learned that it needs a new anode; the only one that I can find is a magnesium rod that is too long. Can I cut the magnesium rod to the correct length with a hacksaw? Thanks for your help!
Foul odor in nose

I myself feel a foul odor in the nose, more so in the morning . What could be the cause. Could it be related to a slight swelling in the gum which is not painful. Tooth is also not loose.

With the assistance posted here I was able to remove the old anode rod from my water heater and install a new one. The old one was down to a steel wire -- I have no idea how long it was in there.
