His or Her Surname for the New Born?
I'm 26, and so is my girlfriend, we're not married yet, but are expecting our son to be born on the 17th of December '08. My question is this, I want our son to take my surname from birth, and not my girlfriend's. Is it possible for me to do this, if so, what do I have to get in place, and what will I have to be aware of? This question requires an urgent answer, SO PLEASE, I NEED URGENT ADVISE!

I believe that as long as the mother of child agrees to having your sir name for the baby . She and you can put your last name on his birth certificate.
