    Painting over vinyl kitchen tiles
I have 25 year old vinyl kitchen tiles and want to paint over them except they have separated and it's like a grout line with no grout... just dirt. Is there anything I can fill these spaces with so I can prime and paint over the tile? If not then I guess I'll rip it out and clean and paint the concrete.

It doesn't matter how well you clean the old grout, or fill it or whatever, nothing is going to stick well enough to ever make anything look good on top of it. Get what I mean. I am a total expert on making do with very little, and have found out you just cannot cut that many corners to save money. You can try and have a short fix but it isn't going to last after all that hard work.

To do a good job, just get the old tile up, clean and paint the concrete.

But just where is this floor ? Is it in your house, in a basement, in the garage, more information and you will get better answers.

    Good luck whatever you decide.
