    Getting out of a lease
    I moved out of an apartment because me and my daughter father were not getting along I had a lease with the perivous owner not the new one he is still living there but I keep getting calls he is not paying the rent am I still bound to this lease I didn't sign nothing with the new landlord? Please help??

    No and you did not have to sign anything, the original lease is still valid. The new owner of a propery has to honor the lease, So your original lease is still in place. Someone buying the property did not charge your lease at all.

    And yes, you will owe the lease if the other person does not pay it,
    Are you both on the lease,? Or just you.

    If you are on it alone, inform them you are moved out, and you are defaulting on the lease

    Have you read the lease in it's entirety? Often times you will find all the answers that you need in the lease. If you have trouble interpreting the lease, do not hesitate to consult an attorney as they will be able to give you the best advice based on what is in the lease.
