I would like some information on an old saw.
"I bought an old husqvarna chain saw at auction. I can't find out the model or age it is.
I know it must be quit old because their is no chain brake or A safety lever
on the throttle. It has an 18" bar. The only number I can find on it is 683535. Any Idea how old it is or where I can find A muffler for it?

    Hi,
Best to use the Dealer Locator and find a dealer with an Ol' timer around if it is very old. Understand what old means though. Chain brakes date to the 80's and hand guards to the 70's. I have seen McCullochs and Stihls nearly as old as me(mid 50's) and I think few Huskys are that old in this country. Could have snuck in through Canada, which imported them before US mostly.
    Peace,
    Clarke
