    Vista or Mac OS X 10.4.8
    Which would you recommend for a student? I´m finishing high school next year, then I want to go to university...

    I bet anyone you get on the phone at those schools will know the answer and happily tell you. Most colleges even have IT departments now to assist students and will give a SUBSTANTIVE answer.

    When you want to know something this specific, best to skip us middle men and go directly to the source.
