    Power Consumption of Refrigerator
Would I consume more power to leave a deep freezer in a hot room with no ventilation, or to put a standard box fan that you can buy at walmart behind it blowing the air out through a window?

I don't know if there's a "calculation" to figure it since the room temp would vary so much... but I'd think that it would be a wash.

I keep a Full Sized Freezer in my garage, which has no ventilation - and can't say that we even noticed a significant change in our electric bills after adding it.
