    Why does my dog pee on the foot of people who visit our home?
    We recently got a 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever from the local shelter. He is a wonderful dog except when we have people come to visit. He pees on their foot. The first time he did this he was in a very excited state, the second time he appeared to be very mellow. He has been fixed since he was a puppy.

    He is either very excited or fearfull. Normal insecure pup. If you have a personal trainer come to your home he can have his problem fixed right away

    I agree, one of my puppys did this too for about a year except she would even pee on me! A lot of the times she was scared but dogs also pee on things as a way to mark their territory. I have these 2 dogs that are very jealous of each other and for a long time they would pee on whatever the other dog laid on. I geuss it's just a weird dog thing, hopefully your puppy will outgrow it though.
