I'm looking for the name of a movie. It's about a terrorist gang doing bad things and a cop chasing the leader and thugs. The cop catches the leader at the end of the movie and handcuffs him and put a grenade in his mouth and tells him, ' Ishould kill you but I won't and starts to walk away and then he stops and says 'the hell I won't' and he turs around, walks back and pulls the grenade pin and then walks away. A powerful ending!

This sounds real familiar. Was it in the 90s or 2000s

I think it was the mid-to-late 90's. I have checked most of Steven Segal movies... I don't believe it was one of his movies? This is driving me crazy. It seems the good guy was an X-cop < not sure > and the bad guys were killers, drug-runners and terrorist type. The leader of the bad guys did something real bad to the x-cops family or something like that. But at the end of the movie when the x-cop caught and fought the terrorist guy, hand cuffed him and stuck a grenade in his mouth, with angar, said, 'I should kill you, but I won't' and turned away and then stopped and said to himself, ' The Hell I Won't ' and turned around and pulled the pin from the grenade < YES! > and the x-cop walked off, knowing he would be punished, I guess? I'm not sure if he was an X-cop or still active?

Powerful Ending...

It has the sound of Die Hard, which had terrorists in it, but I don't think it ended that way.

The quote "the hell I won't" was made famous by John Wayne in McLintock! which is an old western.

I hope you figure it out - it sounds interesting.

Hi Emland, I'm with you... It does sound a little like Die Hard but that isn't it. <frown> Yes, and I do remember the famous quote by John Wayne in McLintock. This one is a Doozie. I'm not sure I will ever find it... if only I could remember who the main character cop was. That ending was the best I had ever seen... and the movie was soooo good... you catch yourself yelling at the screen 'Kill the SOB', that's how much you get into it.
