    Hi, bobouse2004!

Yes, those things can alter the nature of art and it's meaning. It happens all the time. That's part of the purpose of art and why it exists, and that would be to be a reflection as to how someone views anything that they want to express artistically because of any of the ways that that feel emotionally or physically; how they think about something that has happened or might happen or even a view that they might have about certain conditions about anything - and I do mean, anything.

Art is ever-changing and evolving because of the conditions that you mention.

Now, what do you think, please?

    Thanks!

I think the answer is yes and no. I'm wondering if you could elaborate on what you mean when you say "the nature of art and its meaning."

I agree with clough's answers. The interpretation of art changes with the times.

Still, there are purists who believe that a painting (or other work of art) is simply what it is. It's like a fixed concerto. But while the music itself doesn't change, the interpertation of the meaning of it can most certainly change within the observer.

Is this for an assignment or are you looking to answer questions that dig into your own curious discourses?

Yes, further elaboration as to why the question is being asked would be helpful.

Here's something else to consider. Writing is very much one of the arts. If one considers the books that have been banned over a number of centuries, then that is a good example of that which would be considered to be an art that was acceptable at one time, but because of the way that people felt, emotionally due to the politics of a certain time, so many books have been banned that are truly works of art.
