No Choice But to be an Adult
I have logged a couple of thoughts about my ongoing "She needs her space". We went out a week ago Saturday and had a nice time. Sunday there was no change, she still needed space. I have not contacted her in any way shape or form since then. 8 days. N/C is no fun... but if I were to call, I would be starting right back at day 1 and I would have lost some dignity for myself and I would not be respecting her wishes. Do I respect her as a person? Absolutely. I need to be adult about it and act like I do.

I know that eventually she will call probably to say, there's someone else, it's not going to work out or something along those lines. I need to be a little further along in the healing process to deal with that when the time comes. NC will help that. I loved her for many reasons and I have great respect for her. Just because she doesn't love me anymore doesn't mean that she isn't still a wonderful person. And there is nothing wrong with me either. Fact is that it probably just isn't going to work.

I think at that point my response, because I have respected her wishes and retained my dignity in a difficult situation, while easing her mind about feeling the way she does... I will say... I understand that you have to do what is in your heart... I doubt there have been many, if any men in your life, or in you future who will have treated you with the amount of dignity and respect that I have. I don't want to own you or possess you. I am your friend plain and simple and I hope we can hold on to a portion of that.

If you are going through what I am going through remember. Your Dignity is you most attractive quality, especially when you rise above your own pain. Man UP!

She is still in your life, just her role in it has changed. You will miss the old her (sex was that good?) but the good news is, you are free to move about the world.

    That's really big of you.

I must admit I could not have done what you did.

    Congrats
