    Providing heat in a rental
I live in north central Florida and would like to know if the landlord is required by law to supply heat in a mobile home that he is renting out? And what is the state statue for said law?

If the furnace is broken why doesn't the landlord pay to fix it? If the unit has no furnace you're out of luck. Traditionally in the south heat is not provided - it is considered an option as Florida does not supposedly get cold. I lived in South Florida for 25 years and if I wanted heat I would have to supply it at some of the places I lived at that were older. Being in central Florida I would suggest you contact your local Zoning or Building Dept and ask them the question. In the meantime you may just have to buy a space heater and use that if the unit has no furnace working or otherwise.
