    Liquidated Damages for H1B
    Hi,

I transferred my H1B to a employer last August, that time I signed a 'EMPLOYMENT, NONSOLICITATION, AND CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT ', it was told I should work for the employer for 15 months and in case of breach I should pay LIQUIDATED DAMAGES of 25,000 $ and attorney fees, subject to state laws. I have 2 months of the contract period remaining, should I wait for two more months to change my employer. Will changing employer lead to payment of liquidated damages.

    Please advice,
    Thanks,
    :)

Never heard of such thing.. what state you're in? The best thing you should do is consult local attorney specialized in employment law. Normally this kind of agreement can be made only to prevent you from leaving and working for the employer's competitor. This has nothing to do with immigration issue, your legal status should be fine.
