    I'd Like Red Hair
    Hi,

I have had medium brown hair most of my adult life. Recently I had my hair salon treated and went very light, it didn't suit me at all so I had them put a light brown dye in it which almost took on a greenish tinge? Once this faded I was again left with a very light golden brown colour which I wanted to dye quite a bright red.
I chose L'Óreal 5.4 Bellini Copper Brown (home kit). On the cover the colour is portrayed as a bright reddish brown but alas it has turned out very dark with a deep red undertone.
It has only been a day since the dye went in so Im guessing some of the dark will wash out over time, Im wondering if it would be best to strip the colour now and redye or wait and see if it fades much?
What I don't want to happen is for the dark to ruin my chance of having the nice bright red I seek?

I wash and condition every day as I exercise and use a treatment twice a week.
Your opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Bronzebell, I dye red all the time and can count on the colour fading to what I want in about two weeks. I use L'Oreal copper blonde and it turns out a little darker then I want but it fades quite nicely. Any red tone is the most difficult to stay the proper colour.

So just wait and see a while before you do something that you may not be satisfied with :)

Thanks for that, I bet you know what its like to spend half an hour making sure you pick the right colout dye.
Its so frustrating when it turns out to dark after all that toiling :o
I'll leave it a few weeks and let you know th e outcome.
    Cheers
