    I'm a Spender
I am an impulse buyer. If I like something, I'll buy it.
What I usually buy is food, candy and gum. My cafeteria money disappears in
Weeks even though it is supposed to last a month.

I CAN control myself, but it makes me happy to buy food... and other materials.

    Advice?

Buying stuff temporarily makes us feel okay and in control. Buying stuff fills a hole in the soul, so to speak. What is it that you really need, that buying things is distracting you from?

Until you find out what it is, don't carry all your money with you. Only take as much as is alloted for that one day. If you want to buy something, you just skip lunch.

    Hi, avaanstar!

You mention that you CAN control yourself. I agree that it would help to know what it is that you're maybe lacking in your life that might be causing you to spend your money on things that you might not really need.

    Thanks!
