Hi this is my first post. I take Lyrica for fibromyalgia and also Methadone for the chronic pain. I take the methadone 3 times a day and they are 5mg each. My question is my anniversary is coming up and my hubby takes me out for a very nice dinner and orders us a bottle of wine. I am a very nervous person when it comes to taking meds in fact I suffered with chronic pain for 5 years before my doc told me I had to take methadone to control the pain. I have read tons of stuff about not drinking while taking these meds but they say that all all meds but Im really scared of the methadone and was wondering if it is ok to have a 1 glass of wine or a glass of beer once in the while? :confused:

misspepsie.... I too take Methadone for chronic pain due to a fall at work back in 2001. I take 2- 10mg 3 times a day. I don't drink like I use to but I do drink at family events. Just 2 weeks ago at a reception I drank beer first then after the taste didn't agree with me I switched to Bourbon & Coke. Now I'm not a doctor so don't take me as such but my rare drinking while on my meds haven't caused me any side affects.
