To work in banking, what do I need to know about OFAC?
RE: OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control)
My background is in accounting, but I've never worked in the banking industry. I am seeking work, and many of the openings in my locale are in banking (one thing about failed banks - they still need accountants to account for their money!:)). I have a general knowledge about OFAC, but I've never had to use it in work. There are online resources with info, but I'd like to know what are the most critical things to know before I go into a job interview? I don't need great detail - I just need direction to use my research time wisely. I'd appreciate any website suggestions, too, especially tutorials. I may have missed some in my search. I am not claiming experience with OFAC to prospective employers, but it will help if I can be conversant about it in an interview.
    Thanks!
