How do I find a spiritual mentor in my community

Please list for us some things you would want a spiritual mentor to provide and to guide you in--such as, regarding personal issues that seem to be dragging you down, work situations, starting a new business, being a better wife or mother, helping you with your religious faith. Telling us what you need will help us help you look for the right kind of spiritual mentor.

1. What community? (generally--we're not asking for a specific location)

2. What kind of mentor? Is there a particular spiritual pathway, cultural background, or issue you have in mind?

You can look in the phone book. My local book has a "Metaphysical Supplies and Services" section. Or pick up one of the more counter-culturally oriented local newspapers (often free in various hip bars and bookstores in most mid-sized and larger cities). Those often have lots of ads. Or find a good metaphysical/spiritual bookstore. The proprietors of those, often older women, can be great resources.

Or you can just use us here at AMHD. If nothing else, we can promise you a good diversity of answers to any spiritual question. Take what you like and leave the rest. ;)
