    Judgement Lien
I have a lien from a small claims Judgement attached to my property. I need to know the statue of limitation for the lien and what action can the bank take against me for non payment of the amount. The case is mentioned as open in the Lawrence county court, Ohio. Charles Gunawan

If there is a lien attached to your property, the property cannot be sold until the lien is satisfied. So non-payment is really not an issue. You just can't sell whatever it is that has the lien on it until the lien has been satisfied.

I didn't research your particular U.S. state, but judgments usually accrue interest and in many places never go away. After 10 years they are renewable for another 10 years with the interest then being added on top to now also acccrue interest. So the lien amount grows. You can sell your property at any time, but the sale money will go to pay off the lien first (just like it goes to pay off your mortgage first) before you'd get any $ from the sale. Did you appeal the judgment? If not, if you owe the $ why not just pay it?
