    Leaky bathtub/shower tiles
Last summer, I had Bathfitter install a tub liner over my very old porcelain tub, but they did not install the surround, because I want to keep my tiled shower/bath walls. I love the tub, but water has begun to collect between the liner and the original tub. BF has drained it once and plugged what they hoped were cracks, but unfortunately, it has filled again. BF is suggesting that my wall tile is the problem. I don't disagree. It's an old tile job, and there's a window in the middle of the shower wall. I suspect it's been leaking behind the wall for some time.

I am willing to have the walls retiled by a professional. Is it possible, now, to retile and regrout and recaulk around the tub liner so that I can stop the problem of water under the liner for good? If so, and once the water is out, is there a way to kill whatever mold might have developed underneath?

My retiler suggests that he could do his job better if BF could remove the liner and then reinstall when he is finished. Is this possible?

Sorry for the complex question, but it's turned into a complex problem.

If it were me I would quit fighting it and just do a new tub and tile all at once. It will pay off in the end.

My bathtub faucet is leaking badly. It looks to me that the hot knob will not close all the way. You turn the knob and it won't turn anymore but it looks like there is still a little room for it to close all the way but it won't. Is there any way to fix that easily?

I have an old Stanadyne (I've been told this is now Moen) bathtub faucet that leaks out of the spout when it is turned off.
