    Maired but want divorice
I was married in 2000 , I asked for a divorice a year later I believed he was going to file the paper work because he told me he will.
I did not live with him because I was going to college in the IE full time and he was in 29 palms in the military. I saw him on weekends only. He had an off base apt I am sure that he got mairrage bennifits I never got any.
I have serched the internet, and in person at 29 palms, I went to social security office,I went to the county recorder office where we were married in san bearindio, as well as riverside and the surrounding areas.
I had to get a copy of the marriage licence, but I can't find him anywhere

I do not know where he is I have been searching for him for 7 years. For all I know he is dead. How do I get a divorice?
Is there any paperwork to file and how do I do that?
    Thanks

You have two choices of what to do first. You can either hire a private investigator to help you locate him or you can hire a lawyer and have them start the paperwork and they will tell you what types of notices you need to put out in order to try to find him.

With an attorney you will not need to find him, there are search procedures required by the court.

What is his name we have fairly good searches here.
Have you checked with the military, you are still his wife and have a right to see if he is still in the military.

Because he was in the military then you must find him or what happened to him. You can start by asking at his last known deployment base. If he has been killed you need to know that because your entitled to benefits from SSI. Otherwise you will have to do a search through public records to try to find him.
