How long does default judgments last?
My question is this... if a man doesn't show up for a court appearance after being served with papers for child support and there is an default judgment for paternity... after a certain amount of time does this jugdment become permanent? Or is it only valid until the man is caught and take paternity test.

In my area it's a temporary order until he is tested - then it's either made permanent or revoked.

In some states it lasts until it is challenged.
