    Outdoor Kitty Litter Training
I just got a new kitten for our family. He's about 7 weeks old and was an outdoor kitten with his mother. He was laying with me and just pooped and didn't show any signs that he was going to. What's the best way to teach him to use the litter box?

Keep him in a smaller area (but not too small!), putting the litter box at one end and his food, water, bed, and toys at another. The food should always be far away from where he goes to the bathroom. You can help him to know where to pee/poo if you put a little soil and grass in the litter box. If you have a little of his poo, you can even put that in so he understands the situation better.

Make sure he has some toys too! Big paper bags and cardboard boxes make for great extra additions. Make sure to keep your home as interesting as the outdoors. :)

Congratulations to you and your new kitty!
