I installed a new shower door (stall shower) and no matter how much I caulk it, it leaks on the left hand side bottom (facing the outside of the door). I took it down and installed it again but it still leaks. What can I do or what is the problem?

A picture and a brand would help. Is the leak on the hinge side or the latch side and is the bottom of the door and the step in perfect parallel alignment?

The Shower door we installed that we have a problem with a leak is CW Shower Enclosure Model 6100. Also, the bottom of the door and the platform cannot be parallel because the pivot side has to be flush with the bottom of the door and on the other side, the gasket has to be just touching the platform.

I cannot imagine taking down shower enclosure, reinstalling it, and recaulking it again. You have to be expert to do it right. I always tell my guys: You can install shower enclosure as many times as you want - but you can caulk it only once ! No way around it !

How many days before you began using shower after installation? Silicone has to cure of 72 hours. But most importantly: Silicone caulking has to be applied on DRY, clean, surfaces. No compromise here. Any moisture will make silicone not to adhere.

Shower enclosure by itself is not water proof. Caulking makes it waterproofed. If not caulked properly, it enclosure will leak from seams. There is a possibility that you missed a spot... Also, recheck your frame installation making sure all pieces overlap as they should.

Look at parts #2 and #14. http://www.cwdoor.com/instructions/s...structions.PDF The door does not sit on the floor but is on a plate with a bushing. There must be a samll gap to allow the rubber sweep to close and make a seal like a sqeegy action.
