    NY/CT part time residency
My name is Vicki, I am a resident of NY and have a bioptic drivers license. My husband is strongly contemplating a move to CT. I have verified with CT DMV that they have no provision to license me as a bioptic driver in their state. I am considering maintaing part time residence in NY and CT to secure my NY license. What critiera do I need to adhere to?

    Vicki.

You cannot legally maintain your NYS license unless you spend MORE than half of the year in NY and that is your LEGAL residence for all purposes - banking, voting, paying taxes - and can prove it.

If you have an accident in a State which does not issue bioptic licenses you will have serious legal problems.
