Hot Tub pad
I am getting a hot tub. Can I use 8X16X4 inch solid concrete blocks for the pad?

That's what I always recommend. However, lay the blocks on their sides not like a mason would lay a wall, they will not sink this way. I also covered the block with TG treated plywood scrwed into the block with Tapcons.
